EuroVentures supported projects in the Brazilian biofuels sector by playing a central role in fundraising, transaction structuring and development. The following are examples of transaction work in this respect.
Ethanol – EuroVentures arranged a consortium of international investors to bid for an integrated sugar and ethanol business (sugarcane farming, as well as existing sugar and ethanol production facilities) in Brazil in 2007.
Ethanol – EuroVentures was mandated by International Bio-Energy (“IBE”), a Swiss based ethanol development company to analyze Greenfield project investment opportunities in Brazil. After defining carefully IBE’s screening criteria, EuroVentures analyzed more than 20 investment opportunities and selected 2 for which it endeavored to enter into a Joint Development Agreement.
Ethanol Technology – EuroVentures provided a strategic business and implementation plan for a UK technology company to enter the Brazilian ethanol industry. The company produces and inserts into sugarcane based ethanol facilities membrane based dehydration units to produce anhydrous ethanol.
